Your words
stay yours.

Cadence was built so your voice never has to leave your Mac. This policy covers the small amount of data the website collects and, just as importantly, what the app deliberately never touches.
The app processes everything on-device. Your audio and the text Cadence produces are handled entirely on your Mac. We do not receive, transmit, or store your dictation — there is no cloud round-trip, and you do not need an account to dictate.
What the website collects
When you join the early-access waitlist, we collect only what's needed to hold your place and let you know when Cadence opens:
- First name — optional, used only to address you.
- Email address — used to email you about launch and your spot on the list.
If you join with Continue with Google, Google shares your name and email address with us for the same purpose. We do not request access to anything else in your Google account.
Where it's stored
Waitlist details are stored using Cloudflare's infrastructure (our hosting and database provider) and are accessible only to the people who run Cadence. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not use third-party advertising or profile-building trackers.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist information until launch and for a reasonable period afterward so we can invite you in. You can ask us to remove you at any time — see below.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it.
- Unsubscribe from launch emails using the link in any message, or by emailing us.
Children
Cadence is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
